Record flooding in Calgary

This summer the rivers overflowed and it had record flooding, destroying a lot of homes in Calgary.   The last few days of school were even shutdown which the kids were sad about.  

Here are some pictures that I took of the floods.


There was a crazy amount of rain during the spring

The river was RAGING

This is the golf course close by that had a lot of flooding, you can tell how high it is by how much the vending machine is under water.

This is the saddledome that had huge amounts of flooding, and the Calgary Stampede was only a few weeks later.

The Calgary Zoo also took a huge brunt of the flooding, it only just fully opened again.

This is in Canmore which got severely damaged as well.
