Corn Maze

It was a really nice day out so we decided to go to the corn maze today. It had alot of different things to do there and the kids had a blast.

We of course went through a corn maze. Zoë loved pretending it was similar to Dora where they have to pick the path to go on.

They took some industrial tubing and made it into a slide.

Watching the pig races

Going into the petting zoo. Dreyton wanted to talk to all the animals more then he wanted to pet them. He would crouch down and look into there faces and start talking away.

having a duck race

The hay bale maze, Zoë used it more to jump around on then as a maze.

Calaway Park

Yesterday we went to calaway park as a family. Zoë is such a thrill seeker and had tonnes of fun, i'm curious to know what ride would scare her if she could go on all of the rides. Dreyton on the other hand is scared of most rides, clapping and cheering when it ended. He had fun waving to everybody on the rides from the sidelines.

On the kids size ocean motion

At the top of the balloon ride (similar to the ferris wheel)

Dreyton was able to go once around on the boats before he tried to get off.

Zoë's favourite ride was the airplane ride.

Reptiles

We went to a reptile exhibit the other day (not my idea). Of course both my kids loved it as they are not scared of any animals. Dreyton LOVED the gecko's, constantly trying to get his hands on one.

Elbow Falls

The other day my family went to Elbow Falls for a few hours for a picnic and to walk around

The Zoo

My mom, Dayna and I and the kids went to the zoo the other day.

They all went on this train that just goes around a bit of the zoo and goes slow enough so parents can walk along.

They all had lots of fun in the train. Drew was still a little young as they have a strict rule that they have to sit or they will get kicked off. This one worker there needs some lessons on how to talk to a one year old, or at least talk to the parent of the one year old. She kept threatening him like he understood every word she was saying.

Dreytons favourite part was seeing the tiger, he kept growling at it.

Zoë and Jayden were hard to keep track of at the park, they are so big and independent now.

Having a special treat before heading home.

It's SO nice having older nephews that can help me with Zoë and Dreyton.

Elbow Falls

We went to elbow falls this morning for fathers day, we have missed being so close to the mountains while living in Edmonton. I forgot my camera but here are some we took with Lee's cellphone.

The kid's brought up some belgium waffles that they made (with some help from me of course) to daddy in bed to start his day. He then got two presents, quad scriptures and some shamWOW's (he's been asking for them for awhile..).

Lee and I walked across this little stream, it took alot of effort for me to last this long to get the picture taken, it was freezing.

I LOVE to look at waterfalls

kid's playing in the rocks, Zoë brings home "special" rocks every day.

After Dreyton had his nap we went over to my parent's house for a turkey dinner and a couple of games.

300th Post

wow, I can't believe I have written 300 posts since I started this blog. We went to prince's island park the other day to go feed some ducks as we had some stale bread to use up. We found some really cute ducks with there babies but the evil canadian geese kept attacking them every time they'd come close to us. We fed some geese but they kept coming closer and one of them would come so close it would start hissing at us, I made sure they didn't come near my babies.

Calgary Zoo

We took the kids to the Calgary Zoo today, they had so much fun looking at all the different animals.

a bat
I love this playground at the zoo. It has different sections for different ages and only one exit which makes it easy to monitor where the kids are.

It hit me today how big Zoë is getting already when we were at the playground. We saw her once in awhile as she ran past and said hi while running around with different kids, she doesn't need her parents help as much anymore to get around.

Only place Dreyton will stay still on is his daddy's shoulders.

The red panda
a cownose stingray
the pink flamingos

These gorillas were so funny, putting on a good show. There is a very cute baby gorilla there too.

It took awhile to find the tiger but we finally did, he actually came up to us and jumped on his two feet, unfortunately we didn't have the camera ready.
