2 weeks at the cabin

We got to stay for two weeks at the cabin this year which was so nice. There was only one day of slightly cloudy the whole two weeks we were there.

The kids had fun jumping in the lake continuously, sadly I didn't get a picture of Dreyton doing his face flop running into the water. He'd run from the end of the dock and jump in belly flop style and his face would hit the water at the same time, didn't look comfortable, but was hilarious to watch

Jenn, Dreyton, and I on the tube.

The kids had alot of fun on this inflatable waterpark. We had hot tub water pumped in so it wasn't so cold from the hose.

between Toozik and Anya, my kids spent most of there time playing with both of them.

My Uncle Dave and Dreyton chillin' in the boat

My water babies! The temperature doesn't even faze them in the water.

Big Mountain

These are some new activities they have at big mountain that we decided to try. The kids loved the little luge ride, and Jenn and I loved the ziplining.

When we went on the first big zipline it started pouring rain so we had to have these parachutes behind us to slow us down a little. Luckily the rain stopped after that zipline.

At the cabin

Lee is finally done his summer job and doesn't have to be at his new job for a couple weeks, so we decided to come back to the cabin for a while. We invited our friends Dave and Tracy and there family who came to the cabin for a couple of days.

Zoë went ski biscuiting for the first time and loved it.

Lee and Dave having a tube battle

Dave couldn't get Lee in the water so my dad's friend Orvil gave it a shot.

Lee holding on, but ended up going in.

Over the Pass

I thought I should put up some pictures of the last couple days at the cabin as I haven't done a new post for awhile. We went over the pass this time and went for a walk on the boardwalks at the end. Our kids are SO good at travelling, we rarely ever hear them complain.

A very weird looking tree that we saw

We walked over to a little river that the kids threw some rocks into.

The Cabin

Lee has finally stopped working in the evenings and so we decided to take a very last minute trip to the cabin. We were able to convince Uncle Dave 4 hours before leaving to come from Edmonton, so he met us just before we left Calgary and drove with us. We had lots of fun and no one wanted to come home, but we'll be back in a few weeks again before Lee starts articling.

Trying to blow out Dreyton's first roasted marshmallow

Apparently he didn't like the sight of his own burned marshmallow, he had stuffed another one out of the bag in his mouth.

Zoë seemed to like her smore's

and eventually Dreyton did too

Zoë has no fear, she loved riding the sea doos

and she loved jumping in the lake, she could have stayed in there forever

she also loved going on the side by side quad rides, it's great to be able to put them in a car seat and just go.

Dreyton wasn't enjoying the quad ride at first but as soon as they started going he loved it

Lee took Dreyton on a long sea doo ride

Lee's parents and sister and the boys came to visit for a few hours one day.

Of course Lee has to throw his nephews in

I am not sure who plays harder, Lee or the kids

Christmas Day Eve

We drove back from the cabin on Christmas Day to have a nice Christmas Dinner and to open presents with the Stanfords.

Zoë and Dreyton opening presents

Dreyton did not like the wrapping paper on presents, but he loved looking at the toys he got

Jenn and I seriously thinking about starting a new fashion line with our emergency vests we got
