Zoë practicing letters

Zoë has been practicing writing her letters and recently has been practicing spelling her name. I showed her once, and a week later she showed me this page with her name.

My Techy Boy

Of course with Lee and I we knew we would have techy kids. Dreyton is impressive on electronics, he LOVES his cool school computer which has tonnes of learning games and he loves Daddy's itouch. He can play a game on the itouch, go back to the applications, switch pages and click on the one he wants and starts it all on his own.

Sleepover at Grandma's House

Last weekend Zoë and Jayden got to have a sleepover at Grandma's house. Zoë had been talking about her sleepover to everyone and counting down the days for a week. After gymnastics last Friday the teachers knew all about her sleepover at Grandma's as she had talked about it most of the class.

They went to Montana's for dinner. Lee and I love Montana's, it's great for kids they can draw on the table and the food is delicious.

Eating jelly beans and watching a movie

Having breakfast. Lee and I made sure we got Zoë when the sugar high effect was pretty much gone. Zoë talked about it for days and napped as soon as she got home.

Laser Eye Surgery

Most of you know I got laser eye surgery 2 weeks ago, I thought i'd blog about my experience. I didn't get lasik, I got AST (advanced surface treatment). I wasn't really sure 100% if I was going to get it done when I did until a few days before. The Doctor did the surgeries on Thursdays and Lee wasn't able to get the 2 days off of work to help me with the kids. Luckily with my cousin Amy's help and my moms I was able to get them taken care of while Lee was at work and while I was recovering.

(Surgery)
It was a very painless surgery, just uncomfortable. They put an apparatus on my eye to keep it open and sprayed it down to freeze it. Immediately after my eye went completely black and after about 20 seconds a blurry red dot showed up which the doctor told me to look at for about 30 seconds and then he put a contact/bandage on my eye and started on the next eye. I think I was in there for a total of 5 minutes.
(Recovery)
I stayed at my moms for a few days to get help and not worry about kids. I lived in bed listening to audiobooks/music as I could barely open my eyes at all. My mom had to have a schedule for all my medicines/drops as there were so many so often. I had to take drops every 15 minutes during the day/every 2 hours during the night, as well as other drops every few hours and quite a few pills during the day. On the 3rd day I was doing ALOT better, was able to keep my eyes open for a few hours at a time, and the drops slowed down. Even though it was a rough schedule for the first 2 days I quite enjoyed getting some rest as I had been quite sick before then and it felt good to just take care of me.

I went home Sunday afternoon and Lee went back to work on the Monday so I was back to a regular schedule with the kids. My eyes are still not 100% but each day they get better and better. There are no words to explain how much I enjoy not having to wear glasses, I recommend it to anyone who can get it done.
