A hot day at the Legislature

Zoë just loves playing in wading pools, SO much more then splash parks. She's not a fan of the water spraying.

My Boy is 6 mos old!

Apparently I say "my boy" too much to Dreyton as Zoë has started saying it when she's referring or talking to Dreyton as well. Dreyton is 6 mos old, crazy how quick time goes by (especially on the 2nd child). He has started to move around a tonne, rolling everywhere and anywhere he wants to go, as well as almost mastering sitting up.

My sick baby girl

Zoë has had hand,feet,mouth syndrome the last couple days, not fun! She has sores all in our mouth so she doesn't want to eat anything, and a itchy rash all over her skin and a high fever. Needless to say she has not been a happy girl lately. Hopefully it goes away quick and she can be her happy, hyperactive self.

Splash Park

We snuck into the splash park in New Brighton with the kids. We practically had the whole splash park to ourselves, it was such a HOT perfect day to go.

My moms new BMW

My moms new BMW X5. Ah... the day when you can spend 90,000 on a vehicle. Maybe one day my day will come :p

The Park

It was such a perfect day to go to the park. I like the park that's close to us as it has this water pump, sand play area that's fun for kids. Zoë had so much fun playing with these girls who were at the park, she tends to play better with older kids rather then kids her own age. Dreyton enjoyed getting his feet wet as well and going on the slide with daddy.

My morning

It was a very sunny morning so we were able to get out lots this morning and enjoy it.

I LOVE having a bike, I have been going most mornings, either with Lee and the kids or just by myself. Lee had gotten his bike stolen a day after we bought it, luckily a couple found it on there way home from a walk a couple of days later and we were able to get it back. I regretted wearing a coat within a few minutes into my bike ride.


We went to the legislature grounds this morning with some new friends that hadn't been there before. Zoë fell in and got quite drenched just before our APX lunch, she was not impressed.

Fathers Day

The kids and I made a Fathers Day card for Lee on Saturday night. I understand now why they do baby's feet instead of there hand as its always curled up. Zoë LOVED playing with the craft supplies of course.
For dinner we went to a APX barbeque which turned out to be tonnes of fun.

So.. there I was, in Calgary, Canada doing a u-turn at a light.. apparently not legal. So the cop pulls me over.. gets out, and his partner comes up the other side of the car and they have me roll my limo tint windows down to see if there is anyone else.

It took a few seconds but I knew i recognized him.. I said, dont I know you? He says yes you do, through Brook. (my bro-in-law) He laughs and says dont worry about it, you're good. Then proceeds to walk back to his car and says Tell brook I saved your butt. His partner is confused and says 'what he isn't a criminal'? Haha.

So then the good part comes.. 1 minute later he flies up behind me, pulls up next to me and taunts me into racing him. Haha, so there we are racing at up to 180 while people must think I'm a complete lunatic for racing a cop.

A few minutes later we are on the major highway, Deerfoot Trail, and he passes me doing double the speed limit weaving in and out of lanes while I follow him. I wonder what people thought when they saw a black BMW chasing a cop car full speed.

My mom and I and the kids made an impromptu visit to Discovery Wildlife Park on our way home from meeting in Red Deer.

Zoë was more scared of the lady riding the quad then the Kodiak and Grizzly Bears. This bear starred in Dr. Dolittle 1 and 2.
