My morning

It was a very sunny morning so we were able to get out lots this morning and enjoy it.

I LOVE having a bike, I have been going most mornings, either with Lee and the kids or just by myself. Lee had gotten his bike stolen a day after we bought it, luckily a couple found it on there way home from a walk a couple of days later and we were able to get it back. I regretted wearing a coat within a few minutes into my bike ride.

We went to the legislature grounds this morning with some new friends that hadn't been there before. Zoë fell in and got quite drenched just before our APX lunch, she was not impressed.

  1. It's the "falling in" and not the water per se I'll bet. All that great lake time in Calgary and Montana and a whole line of fishermen ancestors. Gotta be in Zoe's blood. My Aunty Bubs was a distance swimmer. (Mum was a competitive hurdler - Guess I got the wrong genes). Real glad Lee got his bike back. Thanks so much for the phone message about Costco. Made Nana's week - a real heartwarmer.

  2. Re: Lee's blog for Kristy
Reading that makes me even more thankful for both of you. That appreciation and thoughtfulness- well deserved by Kristy - strengthens and enriches a marriage. Love you both. Carole

  3. That sucks about Lee's bike. Mine got trashed by either my cousin or from the guys from my dad's company in Lethbridge. Frame was bent and everything. We can't get it fixed. My brother is getting my cousin's(the one that passed away) bike. It's like $600. But yet, I don't get a new one.

Also, I'm pretty sure it was just the falling into the water that freaked Zoe out. Or does she not like getting that wet?

  4. I REALLY WANT TO GET SOME BIKES AS WELL. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO GET IN SHAPE. WHAT DO YOU HAVE FOR THE KIDS? A BUCKET SEAT? OR ONE OF THOSE CARRAIGES THAT YOU PULL?

  5. Rollerblading and biking are the top two ways I love to workout with. I would rollerblade as well if our path by the river wasn't full of big hills. We have one of those carriages, the one we have is called a chariot. I feel alot safer with them riding in that then the bucket seats. We bought a sling that fits in the chariot which is for newborns to a year old. Dreyton can sleep well while we're biking in it. I'll get a picture of the kids in it one of these days. The other thing I love about the chariot is it turns into a stroller, so if we were at a park and wanted to walk around there we just hook it off the bikes and put the handle bar on.

  6. Did you just add that pic of the kids in the trailer? Because I don't remember seeing them in it before. They look like they seem to enjoy it, while going for a ride.
