Past 24 hours

I have had the most interesting 24 hours....

9am - my sisters water started to break so by 11ish we got ready and headed to the hospital while we handed the four kids to my mom. They said since it was quite busy and she hadn't started regular contractions yet they'd send her home until 9pm to see if her body would start on her own.

While we were waiting I had a dr's appt as I was quite concerned with this pregnancy. If I wasn't told I was pregnant through a test I would not know I was pregnant, I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms thus far (knock on wood). There were many pregnant friends and family members that were even earlier then me who were quite sick and it just felt odd that I wasn't at all. So my Dr. booked an early ultrasound to make sure the baby was growing and there was a heartbeat.

I had booked that ultrasound for today at 11:30am.

9pm - we headed to the hospital and she got induced and had the baby 6:30ish. I loved being on the other side of labour, and just to watch instead of being the one in pain, especially since I have cesareans, it was quite different.

My #4 Nephew's name is Makai Jace Bailly and was such a little boy at 6 lbs, 6 ounces. I loved every minute holding him in the hospital, he's SO cute. I will post a couple pictures up once Dayna is home with him and he's been bathed.

I left around 9am and headed home to get ready for my ultrasound. I drank WAY too much, and was SO uncomfortable. BUT I am happy to say this baby is healthy, and growing, and I was able to see the heart beating which was a huge relief to me.

Once I was done with the ultrasound I went and got my kids from my parents house and crashed on the couch... while the kids got into marshmallows, gum, kool aid crystals and whatever else...luckily Lee came home a little early to rescue my neglected kids.

Life lately

Canada Day,

We went to a Canada party at the foothills stake center. They had hot dogs, bouncy houses, cotton candy, face painting etc.

Dreyton is hilarious, LOVES to fight, and show off his muscles. Such a boy!
We went to Elbow Falls as a family on Saturday, kids had so much fun running around in the "forest"

We love to go to Elbow Falls and walk around that area, but after a bit we like to drive down a little further and get away from the busyness and touristy parts.

We weren't very festive this year with the Stampede. We only went to two stampede breakfasts, but at least we made sure they were good ones

Exciting News

As most of you know it's been a long road trying to get pregnant this 3rd time. With Zoƫ we were pregnant within a month and Dreyton was unplanned, so it was very frustrating and confusing this 3rd time.

After awhile I went through the process of going to a fertility doctor and realized my body wasn't ovulating at all. I've been taking clomid since January which has helped me ovulate usually every other month.

Since I have problems with gallstones I decided to get it taken out as it was starting to occur a little more often. I decided to take a pregnancy test the day before my surgery (just in case) and it was positive! Needless to say i've had to postpone my surgery but glad that I am FINALLY pregnant.

AND excited to find out that my sister-in-law Katya and I are both due very close to the same time!

Las Vegas!

My mother-in-law very graciously took us to Las Vegas on a relaxing vacation without kids a couple weeks ago, It was awesome. Lee has been SO busy lately and that means i've been taking on most of the responsibilities at home so we were both SO ready for a vacation to refresh.

My mom took the kids for the week which they loved. Apparently in my mom's words, they were PERFECT angels and there wasn't one temper tantrum all week.... (not sure how much candy was involved to make that happen).

We did a tonne of fun stuff in Vegas. We went to the Blue Man Group, which was the most bizarre show i've ever been too, but hilarious. The whole audience got toilet papered, and the 3 rows in front of us were all wearing rain ponchos from the water that would sporadically get sprayed. After the show some of them came out for pictures.

The next morning we went on an ATV tour around the red rock canyons, it was so pretty. It was a 3 hour ride, and they provided lunch for us and water. I was the only girl in the faster group that went. It was different to quad on red sand, and loose rocks. Carole went with one of the guides on the side by side quads which she enjoyed.

We also went to The Lion King Musical, which was SOOO neat. I could go watch that show over and over again. The actors who played each character fit so well, and the way they were able to portray each animal, was so fun to watch.

We stayed at The Golden Nugget while we were there, it is just off the strip. We had a really nice room on the 17th floor, Carole had a room next to us. The pool had a shark tank in the middle which was neat, with a waterslide going through it.

There was a TV screen in the middle of our mirror in the bathroom, kinda odd but cool.

We also did lots of shopping, eating, I played on some slot machines, and slept and relaxed and looked around. We went to the strip one evening and went and saw the pirate ship sink, the volcano erupt, and the Bellagio fountains.
