look Mommy, there's chocolate!
Dreyton's been asking for a transformer for weeks, so he was very excited to see one in his basket
Zoë loved getting her monopoly jr board game
Since Daddy had an extra day on the weekend, we decided it would be a perfect time to set up the trampoline Nana Stanford had gotten them for Christmas. Lee was a little tired after spending 3 hours setting it up.
The girls after school with their Easter candy.
We had Jayden and Drew over to do some egg dying, I didn't want too many hard-boiled eggs, so after the kids did two each, we decided to be VERY careful and do my regular eggs.
on Sunday we had an Easter egg hunt with the Stanford cousins. Then afterwards, we went to my Grandma & Grandpa Sefcik's for a very yummy turkey dinner
It was a busy, but fun long weekend. The kids and I loved having Lee home for that extra day, doesn't happen often enough.

Easter Weekend
The Easter Bunny came. The kids were so excited to wake up and see some chocolate eggs scattered around, telling them that the Easter Bunny had come and had hidden there baskets.

Pajama Day
Today was Pajama Day at preschool, Zoë was so excited to be silly and wear them.
Jayden is now in Zoë's preschool, they both love being in the same school together. Dayna and I like it as well, as we can help each other pick up the girls, sometimes one stays back at my place with the boys.
as I was writing this Dreyton came down the stairs and asked if I could get the sticky stuff off of him.. apparently I depend on Zoë too much to tell me if Dreyton's getting into trouble. After preschool I put a movie on in my room and about an hour later Dreyton comes downstairs COVERED in my thick cream. I go upstairs and see Zoë sleeping, and my bed and table covered in cream.
I throw my blanket in the wash and come down after cleaning most of it all up and noticed a inch of water from my basement all over my laundry room and bathroom..... I have done this twice with this blanket. It is a king sized blanket and is obviously too big. Sometimes it works fine, and then twice it has done this.... and Lee has to work late... lucky him!

Puddle Jumping
We decided to go puddle jumping yesterday evening. The kids were so excited that they were ALLOWED to jump in puddles.

They were SO excited to see the massive puddle on the park

after we noticed Dreytons boots were completely covered we didn't let them go any further.

April Snow
I love conference Sundays, don't have to get dressed up to go to church and can just relax watch conference and send kids '(and husband) outside in the snow afterwards. We got a huge dump of snow this weekend and today was so warm it was perfect snowball weather.

Swimming
The kids and I decided to spend 2 nights in Olds, AB with Lee as he has been working there for the past few weeks. They spent over 10 hours in the pool while we were there.
Zoë and Dreyton have been going to sleep extremely late the past few nights so I was able to wear them out swimming and get them to sleep at a proper hour last night, which hopefully got them back on a schedule now.
the very fast slide, which gave quite a splash at the end
Dreyton has improved SO much in swimming since he's been going to class this year. At the starting of the year he would barely put his cheeks in the water, but now he LOVES putting his face in the water and holding it long enough for me to panic.
They loved jumping in together and making a big splash
Dreyton likes to do a face-flop, doesn't look pleasant.
Lounging on the shallow end
Dreyton got very brave and went on the slide after swimming for a few hours, then kept wanting to go on.
I love taking mid air shots

Tobaganning
I finally got my laptop fixed so I might be able to update my blog a little more, my mac has been taken over by two little kids which makes it hard to get computer time.
Lee has been gone for 2 weeks Mon-Fri in Olds for work, so i've been busy. I just realized I haven't taken any pictures these past few weeks. I took the kids tobaganning yesterday as it was really nice out and I haven't taken them this year yet. I forgot my camera but was able to take a couple with my phone.
Dreyton was hilarious as he is not a thrill seeker. He went down once from the very top and quickly went into a panic and would only go about 5 steps up the hill and go down from there.

Zoë on the other hand is definetely a thrill seeker. The faster, the higher, the better. The hill we went to was quite steep and she had a blast.

Birthday, Valentines, & Anniversary
Wow, don't think I've made it this long without doing a post before. It's been a crazy month, and I don't even think I have any pictures of any of the crazyness. With my Birthday, Valentines Day, and Anniversary all within 10 days of each other it ends up being quite busy.
I have really started disliking my Birthday, it's a hard transition from childhood birthdays to adult birthdays. I know it's hard for Lee as he tries to make my birthday special but he is busy and I don't want him to have to worry/stress over it. My sister and friend Andrea and mom came over to spend the day, and brought some cake over. Lee had work and then a meeting so he didn't get home till really late. We were going to go out in the evening but babysitters fell through and I didn't want to go out super late since it was a weekday. Needless to say my Birthday is just exhausting and stressful.
Valentines Day was really fun. Lee, Carole and I took the kids to Gnomeo and Juliet. It was Carole's first time to see a 3D movie. (blurry iphone photo)
Then Carole stayed to watch the kids while we went out to eat at Montana's (our favourite restaurant) and then we snuck over to my parents place (they were in Arizona) and I had a relaxing jacuzzi while Lee watched sports.

Then.. on our Anniversary Lee surprised me by taking me to Legally Blonde, a broadway musical.

I love broadway musicals, so it was really fun. Best part was he got them off of kijiji for 1/2 price, I enjoy myself a lot more when I know we got a deal. We went to the Keg before our show (my soon to be new favourite restaurant) where I had the best steak dinner of my life. They had fresh BEETS for a side dish which I love, and they have this option called chicago where they char your steak on the outside which was so good.

Our new addition
This is Misty, our new addition to the family.
Lee and I went to the Calgary Humane Society on Monday while Zoë was in school (Lee had called in sick as he wasn't feeling good, but by the afternoon he was feeling much better). My mom had somewhat jokingly said we should get a cat for my Birthday, and so we decided to just go on a casual trip to the SPCA and just look. We went past each cage of cats and picked our favourites. We didn't want a little kitten as I wanted to skip the stage of cat scratching, litter training, and mischief, but I didn't want an old cat either. Misty (aka Darling at the SPCA, is 7 mos old) was the first cat we wanted to see in the adoption room, she instantly became a favourite and we brought her home that day. She never takes her claws out, and is so passive and cuddly. She is SO good with the kids, lets them carry her around and play doctor with her. So far she's been great at home, hasn't gotten into trouble, no bathroom accidents, and the kids are entertained. I like having cats as they can fend for themselves and don't mind being left for a few days on their own, unlike dogs, if we go on a vacation.
I am hoping the novelty of having a kitten wears off a little bit with Zoë as she is VERY attached. She doesn't want to go to preschool to leave her, and she finds it very hard to leave Misty alone while she's sleeping or eating. I am constantly telling her to give Misty a break, I am sure she will eventually....
She is a grey tabby, with a bit of orange patches.
