Zoë's Preschool Grad

my girl is now done Preschool and getting ready for Kindergarten. It will be weird for a few months to not have a schedule full of soccer, preschool, swimming, and cooking classes.

Zoë's Preschool Class.

I asked Zoë her favourite friends @ preschool and she said they were Jayden (of course!) and Emily. She also mentioned Kyan, Jacob, and Jaise as her second favourites.
The teachers gave us a get to know you worksheet that they had filled out during the school year. Zoë told them the answers and they wrote most if it down.

They brought home a report card of her improvements this year, and how she did with social skills. Zoë had 8 letters that she needed to practice when they did this report card, but now just Gg and Mm.

Calaway Park

It was nice to get out this weekend and go to Calaway Park as a family. We haven't had a Saturday for quite awhile with Lee so it was SO nice (even if he had to miss some other commitments to come) to spend the day at Calaway Park. We also enjoyed the drive, as it's such a pretty drive through Bragg Creek.

Dreyton LOVES rides now, It makes it so nice that we can go on some rides altogether as a family. We even went on the log ride which Dreyton said was AWESOME...! at the end. So cute.

highlights

Zoë and Jayden at soccer

I had bought some rigid wrap along time ago, as I used it quite a bit as a kid. The kids really wanted to do a mask with it, so we decided today was the perfect day as it was rainy and cold. It's a roll of plaster guaze, which has alot of fun uses.

Slathering the vaseline on so it doesn't get stuck on any hair, and comes off easily.

their favourite crafts are painting.
my crazy tie dyed masked children

Lee and I hosted a dinner party a few weeks ago, it was alot of fun. We decided on a fondue for dinner/dessert which was alot of fun as most of them didn't even know what a fondue dinner was.

I had fun covering marshmallows in different toppings to go with the chocolate fondue

The kids were so excited to have our own family fondue the next day with some leftovers

Driving Range

Lee has alot on his plate right now, and he has a hard time balancing all his responsibilties and finding time for fun as well.

He has work/school/church/family obligations that takes up a tonne of time, and he is also on a basketball league most of the year as well. Luckily he figured a way to go to the driving range to practice his golf skills, with me being more then fine with it. He got the kids a jr. set of golf clubs and he took Dreyton the other day while I took Zoë to soccer.

Dreyton had so much fun spending that time with just daddy, especially when he got to get ice cream afterwards.

Bowling

this is just a random picture I found on my camera that I had taken recently. Lee and I had gone upstairs to check on the kids in the playroom as they'd been quiet for awhile. Here they are both crashed on the floor, mid-day.

Lee's brother Greg was in town this weekend, so we decided to all go bowling. This was Zoë and Dreyton's first time bowling, and they keep asking if we can go back to play again. It was a 5 pin glow-in-the-dark bowling alley.

It was so fun to watch them learn to bowl, Dreyton enjoyed keeping us in suspense while we waited a few minutes for one of his balls to get to the end.

Past few weeks

Zoë started soccer a few weeks ago, she gets so excited to go when she has it.

We went to a showhome grand opening last weekend and they had awesome free burgers and did facepainting and balloon animals. Dreyton loved being spiderman for the day.

We always have jack rabbits coming in and out of our yard, the kids love chasing them around the yard.

It's great to go to garage sales and find sweet deals on new toys/clothes. It was the parade of garage sales in a few communities today. I was able to get a few things, my favourites were the dress-up clothes I got.

Dreyton Update

Dreyton is 3 years old,

41.5 inches tall (95%)

and 39 lbs (92%)

His favourite things to do are play computer/wii games and puzzles. He loves anything that he has to figure out and that is more intellectual.

Dreyton is very independent and loves to do things himself, no matter how long it takes for him to do it.

His favourite things to eat are bananas, grilled cheese sandwiches, cucumbers, and porridge.
He dislikes eating spaghetti, tomatoes, and hamburgers.

He loves superhero's right now. Spiderman, Batman, and Transformers, anything that has a special power. He is a very sweet/loving boy when he wants to be, but he can also throw some loud tantrums over nothing.

He loves his full name, anytime someone calls him something else (goofball, or silly boy etc) he makes sure to correct them and says his name is Dreyton Leland Stanford.

Dreyton is in a swimming/variety class right now. He loves to swim and put his face in the water.

She is my cuddler, loves to cuddle and read stories. She is very affectionate and one of her favourite holidays is Valentines Day, because she is always making Valentines for people in her life who she loves. She loves to tell the people in her life how much she loves them, numerous times a day she will tell me she loves me.

She is a very sensitive girl, and can get her feelings hurt very easily.

Galaxyland

Zoë didn't have preschool this week, so I decided to go to Edmonton area and visit my cousin Heather for a couple days. Our kids are the same age and had alot of fun playing with each other. We went to galaxyland one day and I was so proud of Dreyton. Last year he wouldn't even go on the carousel without being terrified, but this time he went on all the rides the other kids did and loved them. HUGE milestone from last year.

Easter Weekend

The Easter Bunny came. The kids were so excited to wake up and see some chocolate eggs scattered around, telling them that the Easter Bunny had come and had hidden there baskets.

look Mommy, there's chocolate!
Dreyton's been asking for a transformer for weeks, so he was very excited to see one in his basket
Zoë loved getting her monopoly jr board game
Since Daddy had an extra day on the weekend, we decided it would be a perfect time to set up the trampoline Nana Stanford had gotten them for Christmas. Lee was a little tired after spending 3 hours setting it up.
The girls after school with their Easter candy.
We had Jayden and Drew over to do some egg dying, I didn't want too many hard-boiled eggs, so after the kids did two each, we decided to be VERY careful and do my regular eggs.

on Sunday we had an Easter egg hunt with the Stanford cousins. Then afterwards, we went to my Grandma & Grandpa Sefcik's for a very yummy turkey dinner

It was a busy, but fun long weekend. The kids and I loved having Lee home for that extra day, doesn't happen often enough.
