Dreyton's 2nd Birthday Party

Our baby is now two, and growing so quick. You can go to the day he was born by clicking here. He loves to read, his favourite book right now is a toddler search and find book. His favourite shows are max and ruby or toopy and binoo or dora and diego. Since Dreyton is now in a toddler bed Zoë mostly gets him when he wakes up from his nap and Dreyton is so sad when she's not there sometimes, they are always following each other around at home. Dreytons favourite foods are perogies, and hot dogs.

My sister-in-law Erin and I made sports themed cupcakes the night before the party.

Dreyton was a pro unwrapping presents.

We set up my moms inflatable bouncer in the play room.

Christmas

We had a very busy and fun Christmas. We spent the morning with my family and had a morning brunch, then went to Lee's family in the afternoon for an early ham dinner. Our kids got super spoiled from everybody, and maybe Lee and I did a little bit too.

Sefcik Christmas Eve Eve Party

The Sefcik side of the family who were around Calgary for Christmas got together on the 23rd at the church. We played a few games and had the kids run around, and at the end Santa Clause came and gave presents out.

Baking

Today my sister-in-law Erin and I got together and made a few baked foods. The kids had tonnes of fun playing together and helping and we got quite a bit done.

Butter tarts, Oreo Balls, Gingersnaps, Chewy Pecan Cookies, Whipped Shortbread Cookies, and Peanut Butter Fudge

My kids love helping me in the kitchen. They made brownies for a get together at my parents place the other day, taking turns putting each ingredient in. They were very excited to get a picture taken and show the results.

Work Adult Christmas Party

This weekend we went to an adult Christmas party for Lee's firm in Banff. We had the kids stay at Grandma and Papa's house while we went early to spend some more time there. We went and got a couple's massage and then went shopping for a bit before heading to the hotel. The hotel we stayed at was called the Rimrock hotel which was a very nice hotel, we got one of the executive suites which was huge.

In the evening we had a fancy dinner and a dance. It was nice to meet alot of the people Lee works with. It was a weird mix of LDS members and non-members with an open bar. In the morning they had a huge brunch for us before heading out.

Work Christmas Party

Lee's work had there kids Christmas Party last week at C.O.P. They had lunch, crafts, and then at the end Santa came and gave them presents. Both kids were really good with Santa, Zoë was super excited and Dreyton didn't have a problem going straight to him.
The cameraman kept trying to get Dreyton to smile but as soon as Dreyton started smiling he would look at Santa and give a huge smile and then stop and look back at the camera and give a blank look.

Zoë got a pink backpack which held a puppy on the back of it and Dreyton got a circus playmobil set.
This weekend is our adult Christmas party in Banff at the rimrock hotel, i'll post about that afterwards.

Horsy Ride

The kids going for a horsy ride on Uncle Brook/Daddy

I decided to make a vegetable platter up a little while ago to keep in the fridge and apparently my kids think it's a special treat. This is Dreyton in the corner trying to hide from me so I can't see him eating his "special" treats.

Our Christmas Tree we had put up a few weeks ago

Cake Decorating level 2

I just finished my level 2 cake decorating classes at michaels. This level you only made one cake at the end and learned how to do mostly flowers the other weeks. I really enjoyed making this cake, I love the basketweave technique and the rope border. We made the flowers out of royal iciing which makes it not really edible, more for looks.

I made this bird out of color flow iciing. Zoë got her hands on the container and broke the bird before I could put it on the cake

Zoë finished her puzzle

Zoë keeps amazing me with puzzles, she can do quite hard ones without any help. She can see just a little spot on one puzzle that matches to another quite easily. She totally forgot the words at the end of her abc's and decided to match the tune with other words so no one would notice.

Cousins

Zoë and Jayden have lots of fun when they get together, even if they fight often over toys. These pictures are from a playdate earlier this week.

Zoë, Jayden, and Dreyton dancing. I really need to get Dreyton some boy dress-up stuff.

Playing with bendaroos

Playing a matching game with the cards they got from trick or treating.

Zoë and Dreyton had a check-up this morning, Zoë is 39.4 lbs and 99cm (3'3"), Dreyton is 31 lbs and 89 cm (2'11").

Happy Halloween

We went to a stake Halloween party the night before, it was fun until it got way too busy.

Dreyton went as a sheriff

and Zoë was Snow White.

Zoë in the bouncy house

Dreyton playing one of the games

We decided to use a template and not carve a regular jack-o-lantern pumpkin. We did a ghost and Zoë wanted a little bat.

Getting ready for trick or treating. Zoë went as a pink poodle, and Dreyton went as a tiger. I asked Zoë a few weeks before Halloween what she wanted to be and she said she wanted to be a pink puppy. I figured I wouldn't be able to find a warm costume like that so we went looking for something else and I was glad when I did find a pink puppy for her.

Just about to put some make up on before heading out.

I didn't get very many pictures of actual trick or treating, it was hard enough catching up to Zoë.
