Bird Sanctuary

Today Lee and I took the kids for a walk around the bird sanctuary with Erin and the boys. It's just a nice little walk and it was really nice out. Zoë, Tighe, and Dominique had lots of fun running around which was nice, unfortunately Zoë had her first taste of deer poop. It makes me cringe when I think about it, so gross!

  1. l I can think about is the scene in 'Alvin and the Chipmunks', where Theodore poops on the couch and Dave thinks that it is poop. But Simon says that it's a raisin and pops it into his mouth. Even that makes me cringe, and it wasn't even real.

  2. What can I say? Her Nana is a city gal. We were out at The Leighton Centre when Tighe was younger & I thought they were little nuts! Neil & Erin were rather astounded at my naivete when we took a little collection back to the truck. Mind you, we didn't pop any in our mouths. Deer are vegetarians. Shouldn't be too bad.

The rejoicing should be that Zoe is a born "naturalist" which is one of the major strands in the theories of Multiple Intelligences.
You go girl! Keep on exploring!

  4. Oh dear. I'm sorry about the poop. How did she like it?

  5. Oh, Zoë, what a pretty smile. she's always doing that, the smiling.
i doubt deer poop is much toxic, but it still sounds ecchy.
i'm glad Zoë has the familys nature nut gene. i wonder what she'll be when she's all grown up. a biologist? that would be cool.
